A new (to me) artist has jumped onto my radar…Katie Herzig. She is a tiny girl with a big voice! Speaking of big…how about Mr.Big? Ladies–you know who I’m talking about. 😉 For those of you not in the know, Big (played by Chris Noth) is Sarah Jessica Parker’s main love interested in Sex And The City. And Miss Katie Herzig was asked to write a song for the first SATC movie. Sadly, it was not chosen. But, it is a lively, animated little song so I thought I would share it. Warning – it is kinda catchy. My kids are walking around singing “hey na na, hey na na” after hearing it only twice!!
Katie has plenty of other songs worth checking out, too. I hadn’t heard of her before but plenty of others have…her songs have been on a couple of episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and she has been named a “Best of What’s Next” artist by PASTE Magazine. She has a new cd coming out on Sept.20, 2011 called The Waking Sleep.
