There has been a lot of hype around Fiona Apple’s newest release, The Idler Wheel Is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do (released June 19, 2012). Yes, it has a long and complicated title that matches the music and lyrics you will find inside. (She has a thing for long titles – her second release had an long poem for the title!)But that shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone who has listened to Fiona Apple’s music before. Her deep, sexy voice is alluring and her lyrics are blunt. This album is heavy on the piano and percussion with the main focus staying on the vocals.
Apple has a pretty full tour schedule around this release and it includes Louisville! She will be at The Palace on Friday Oct 5. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday June 22nd at noon.
