About Me

Having four kids within 5 1/2 years (ages 5 1/2-11 years), many say I must be insane.  They could be right, but I prefer to think I am hanging onto that last bit of sanity.  My main avenue of survival is music, preferably good music (even better if it’s live!).  And if you know good music, then you recognize the lyrical inspiration behind this site title….

“My parents taught me to

learn when I miss

Just do your best

Just do your best

It’s the only way to keep

that last bit of sanity.

Maybe I don’t have to be good

but I can try to be at least a little

better than I’ve been so far.”

-The Avett Brothers, “When I Drink”

See for yourself….

Love the page! Saw it in the Avett forums. I would like to add a signed copy of my book ‘Slammed’ to your giveaways. It’s getting great reviews, especially from fans of the Avett Brothers. It’s a contemporary fiction novel, but I’m a HUGE Avett fan…so naturally I included bits of Avett lyrics and the likes throughout the book. It’s called ‘Slammed’ by Colleen Hoover and it’s on amazon. Paperbacks will be available later this week and I’d love to give you a copy to give away. http://www.colleenhoover.com Thanks! And let’s keep spreading that Avett love! 🙂

Hi, can I ask where the cool artwork comes from on the header and footer of your website? Love it.
